Summer at The NSA

The NSA is the place to be this summer for squash. While other clubs close up shop, the NSA will be hopping all summer with camps, intermediate and advanced house leagues including doubles, high performance training and lessons, clinics and round robins for all levels. It’s a perfect fit for the NSA faithful as well as students home for the summer and those looking to stay sharp while their regular clubs are slow.

There are lots of reasons to spend your summer at the NSA, but here are just a few:

1. Summer 4 month memberships as low as $30 per month!

Join for the summer months and receive unlimited booking privileges, access to house leagues & our internal challenge ladder, complimentary round robins, and one free guest pass per month. For more information contact Karen at karen@nationalsquashacademy.com.

2. Summer House League

Home to the best summer league in the city, the NSA attracts squash players from across the GTA. Our new summer house league will feature both singles and doubles squash for players of all levels. It starts on Monday June 17th and will run for 12 weeks – perfect for a squash-filled summer! Monday nights will cater to Advanced players, and Wednesday nights will be for Beginners & Intermediate players. This is your chance to get some great games in with people from all over Toronto. 3. Summer High Performance 

Training for Students, Juniors & Adults Looking to improve your game? Join Jamie Nicholls and train alongside the Canadian National Team throughout the month of July. Summer HP training will feature 12 sessions every week including strength & conditioning, technical development, drills, condition games, and match play. The sessions run Mondays to Fridays beginning between 9:30 am and 3:00 pm daily. This program is priced at $200 per week (12 sessions), or $25 per session. 2013 SDA Elmaleh Classic and Hogtown Rumble Draws Released

The first ever professional event played on a four wall all-glass doubles court is only 8 days away, with the world's best SDA doubles players and local professionals descending on Toronto.

All matches are free to attend thanks to the generous support of Slaight Music, the SDA and the National Squash Academy as we attempt to have the largest ever audience for a doubles event.

2013 Elmaleh Classic Pro Doubles Tournament


The National Squash Academy, The Squash Doubles Association (SDA), Slaight Music, and Harrow Sports are thrilled to announce the first annual Elmaleh Classic May 10th to 11th, on the World's only all-glass doubles exhibition court.



The professionals confirmed for this event are truly the very best in the world, featuring:

The tournament will showcase a 4 team SDA invitational event with 4 of the top 5 teams in the world competing over the course of two days, as well as an electrifying pro-am pitting 8 of the top local OSDL division 1 players in Toronto representing their clubs in what will be the highest quality pro-am ever to be played called the Hogtown Rumble.

This event will be particularly significant as it will be the first ever professional event played on a four wall all-glass doubles court with 360 degree viewing. The NSA has capacity for 500 spectators around the court; please join us in our endeavor to have the largest single audience at a single squash doubles event. Together, we can show the world that doubles squash on an all-glass court is indeed the most exciting game on the planet, and should be considered THE form of doubles squash played worldwide.

Thanks to the generous support of Slaight Music and the SDA Tour, tickets will be free for the general public for this event with priority seating given to NSA doubles court seat holders. Food and beverage will be available all weekend, as well as other entertainment including an art exhibition and live music.

The Hogtown Scramble Pro-Am

Each Division 1 OSDL team will be asked to nominate their top amateur to be paired up with the 8 SDA pros.  From there, each club will bid on the players available during an auction preceding the event.  50% of the total pot will go to the winning club, 25% to the runner-up and 25% will go to the house to cover player costs. Minimum bids will start at $1000.

2013 Summer Squash Camps

As summer fast approaches, our Summer Camps do too!

High Performance Camps

Train with the best players in Canada under Squash Canada performance director Jamie Hickox, Jamie Nicholls and other members of the Canadian senior national team. HP camps are 4 day camps with 2 session’s daily, including a fitness/technical session in the AM and tactical/match play workshop in the PM. A great camp for those gearing up for the season or preparing for university. 

Dates:  June 24 - 27 & August 26 - 29 (Mondays to Thursdays)
Time: 10:00am - 4:00pm daily
Age: 12 - 20
Level: International/Squash Ontario Gold

Coaches: Jamie Hickox, Jamie Nicholls, and Canadian Senior National Team Members
Cost: $600 per week, plus HST

Healthy, high energy snacks will be available throughout the day. Players should bring or purchase their own lunch based on their dietary needs.

Skill Development Camps

Skill development is the NSA’s specialty - perfect for Silver Level juniors looking to take their game to the next level. Includes technical, tactical, mental and fitness work in a fun environment, and includes other great activities such as rock-climbing, soccer and basketball. 

Dates: July 2 - 5  (Tuesday to Friday - 4 day camp)
July 8 - 12 (Monday to Friday)
July 15 - 19 (Monday to Friday)
Time: 10:00am - 4:00pm daily
Age:  8 - 16
Level: Squash Ontario Gold or Silver
Coaches: Greg Hutner, Jamie Nicholls, and Canadian National Team Members
Cost: $500 per week, plus HST for 5-day weeks ($400+HST for July 2 - 5)

A healthy lunch and snacks are provided.

FUNdamentals Camps

The NSA FUNdamentals program is geared towards new junior squash players who want to learn the sport of squash in a fun and safe environment. Juniors will learn basic squash skills leading into light competition as well as participate in a variety of other activities at Downsview Park, including rock climbing, soccer, basketball and arts and crafts. Camps are 5 days and will have pre- and after-care options.

Dates: July 22 - 26 (Monday to Friday)
July 29 - August 2 (Monday to Friday)
August 6 - 9 (Tuesday to Friday - 4 day camp)
Time: 9:30am - 3:30pm daily (pre/after care available)
Age: 6 - 14
Level: No experience required
Coaches: Greg Hutner, Ryan Whiteley
Cost: $385 per week, plus HST for 5-day weeks ($310+HST for August 6 - 9)

A healthy lunch and snacks are provided.

Power Squash Academy

The Power Squash Academy is the pre-eminent provider of coaching and training to the world’s best and most dedicated squash players.
